• “Multimedia Communications for Process Control Applications” (Department of Electronics, Govt. of India), 
• “Real time GPS Signal Simulator” (for AR&DB, DRDO) jointly with M/S Comus Technologies Ltd., Madras, 
• “Spread Spectrum Communication Link design” (for DRDO) jointly with M/S Comus Technologies Ltd. Madras and Sameer, Madras. 

Apart from these, the department has executed a number of smaller projects like LRDE, CDOT, CRL (BEL), etc. A ‘DSP centre’ has been set up at the department in collaboration with M/S Signals and Systems Ltd Madras and M/S Analog Devices USA, with the latter providing the complete range of its fixed and floating point DSP tools. Presently, partnerships are being established with 

• M/S Accel Computers to set up a VLSI training center 
• M/S India Comnet Ltd. Madras, to provide in house staff training.
