 The
Department has well equipped labs where basic training in design and simulation,
and design using microprocessors and microcontrollers are imparted. Apart
from these, the department has four specialized Labs where advanced student
and sponsored research projects are undertaken and executed. These are:

The computers and Networking Lab which is
equipped with a range networking cards, networking software packages, transmitters
and parallel processing Systems, Multimedia development tools and Image
processing systems etc.

The DSP lab fixed with the entire range of
Analog devices and floating point processors including evaluation boards
and development tools, MATLAB etc.

The telematics and the communication lab with
the complete suite of FPGA tools from ACTEL, evaluation tools from ALTERA,
Logic analyzer, RF components equipments including spectrum analyzers,
Signal sources, fiber optic cables, components and subsystems.

The bio medical Engineering Lab with polygraph
amplifiers and imaging systems. Internet facility is available in many
of the labs of the department and there is also a library with many of
the latest books on various topics of interest to the department.
