DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRONICS
(academic programs)
  The department conducts the 4 year B.Tech. program, the 1½ year M.E Program and the M.S. and Ph.D. research programs. The academic programs follow the credit system of total internal evaluation, which permits fine-tuning of the syllabus to accommodate the rapid advancements in the field and also enables the students to either speed up or slow down the pace at which they could complete the stipulated number of courses. In keeping with its 50-year-old tradition the department continues to infuse a high degree of practical/design content in all its academic/research programs.

The mainstay of U.G. and P.G programs is the intensive project work carried out by all the students. These projects are configured after careful planning to provide challenging and realistic problems. And with round the year, round the clock access to all the labs in the department, the projects prove to be a stimulating and enjoyable experience to all the students. Apart from the regular UG and PG programs, the department also conducts frequent workshops and conferences for the benefit of practicing engineers and Scientists.
