MITAA was born in Chennai in 1966. Since its inception, the association has come a long way and many chapters were also started.

MITAA has maintained continuous liaison with the Almamater over the years and has been involved in sponsoring awards to meritorious students, providing suggestions on Syllabi material etc.,

There are various chapters functioning out of different cities of the world.
