About Indian Plastics Institute (IPI)

The Indian Plastics Institute is the premier institute for Education and Technology Training for the plastic industry in India with over 3 decades of standing, with its Head Office in Mumbai. IPI was formed from taking over Plastics & Rubber Institute, London (PRI). IPI has 11 Chapters and 7 sub chapters in all major centers in India with over 3000 professional members from the industry.

 

Objectives

To disseminate information about plastics and the industry natural and synthetic high polymers and related materials.

To project plastics, natural and synthetic high polymers and other related materials as Eco-friendly materials with excellent recyclability and their contribution in conserving natural resources and saving energy.

 

IPI - Chennai Chapter

The Chennai Chapter of IPI, has been in the service of plastics industry for over 3 decades. The chapter has been conducting Technical Lectures, Seminars and Conferences on a regular basis. Since last 3 years, the Chapter has conducted 44 Technical Lecture, 7seminars, 3 short term courses etc. The Chennai Chapter conducts 10 technical lectures and 1 seminar on an average every year.

 

IPI - Students Chapter

IPI STUDENTS CHAPTER of Department of Rubber and Plastics Technology, Madras Institute of Technology were inaugurated by Mr.C.Jeyasingh, Plant Manager, Kangaroo Plastics Middle East LLC, Dubai, UAE on 22nd August, 2011. 

Every year IPI and SPART organizes technical events to bridge the gap in the curriculum by inviting guests lectures from field related industrial eminent, faculty from other universities and experienced alumni
